As another TB'er once posted in response to this bass ... "We've found the rebel bass."

Dammit! I wish I'd thought of that! Still, I needed that laugh today!

I went to Bass pro shop and to my surprise they didn't have a single bass guitar.

question about your Ric's...did you do the custom color work yourself, or did they come that way from Ric. those are all great looking basses.

In the same light, did you do the work on all of the basses?

privileged to have Jimmy Coppolo's only AC6, a prototype.
19mm, featherweght, ergonomic, sounds amazing.

Jackson. Which, aside from the outlandish shape, I think is why most people overlooked it. It was a very short custom shop run from 2002-2003 called the "Antigravity." It weighs about as much as my 6-string guitar. They were designed by Harry Fleishman, who's own builds are beyond gorgeous and heinously expensive. I can count on 1 hand the number of people I've found on the entire internets who own one. I actually made a "Jackson Antigravity owners club" thread as a joke.

My fender 1962 jazz bass. It is 52 years old, it was my dad's.

Doesn't look all that unusual, but this little lady is very much one-of-a-kind. My Frankenstein bass, Aradia, made entirely from parts I bought off eBay:

(I wrote up the whole thing in excruciatingly tedious detail http://thecrowfrombelow.wordpress.co...aradia-part-i/ if anyone's interested...must get round to writing part VI)

Anyone can buy one if they want, but I don't think many people would choose blue with tortoise binding (I didn't, it was used)

So technically, it's unique.

I'll have this one finished up shortly for my buddy Anthony Wellington, 5 string, 19mm spacing, 2 1/16" nut, 16" radius, 35" scale..... (exhibition build or "tribute", built as a gift....no profit.), only one Ric style build, that I care to build..........

This is my most ambitious project so far. I've built a bass with Warmoth parts before but I had to actually develop some woodworking skills this time.
