Is there a reason there is not a Vintage Fender club?

Or a Pre CBS club? Seems there are quite a few vintage owners on here.
It seems the club thing is pretty popular on TB and I'm a little surprised that the vintage guys haven't stirred something up yet.

Or is there one and it's just not popping up on my search?

My '69P

Cool thread!

I love to look at the real vintage ones. Want to add a real J someday soon.

This is my '69P, got it for my birthday over 30 yrs ago, complete with a Marshall 100W Lead, 4x12 cab, and a spare Traynor 100W head.

Only lost the Traynor years ago somehow...

Still always go to this bass and play it nearly every day.

Want to buy a real (not repop) bridge and pickup cover as I lost the originals 25 yrs ago.

Don

So cool that you got all of those mementos framed 1 Shot. It's easy to see how much you cherish that bass.

Very cool basses in this thread!! Here's some pics of my '75 P-Bass, I bought her in April this year:

First picture, taken on the purchase day, before cleaning and setup (still with both covers):

Nice figure on the ash body!

Now with a replacement tort PG (the original was cracked with pieces missing):

My '77 Mocha P

I just took this pic the other day in order to show my current set-up when I joined the TB SVT-7 Pro Club (Member #26).

Here's my Mocha/Maple '77/'78; (on the left is my [also] recently acquired ca. 2012 model; a beauty in her own right, but gawd, do I LOVE my Mocha!):

Yeah, "Flaked Beans" I'm with "jkav" (love YOUR Walnut/Mocha? as well, jkav) and I, too wanna know where I can get a ca. '75-'79 Moch/Walnut with Rosewood neck (i.e., your middle Bass); I've always and only seen these "Brown ones" with the Maple neck...

"ExaltBass": I sure do find that '59 Ocean Turquiose Metallic of yours to be real "purdy"...

Chuckster

PS--I need to take pics of it in its original case that I have as well: can someone PLEASE instruct me step-by-step as to how to upload/attach the very large hi-rez and MULTIPLE pics that many of you have in your posts? the TB system only allows me 2 pics at a max 1200x1200 size!

Dots, Binding, and Ice. Don't see that too often. Awesome!

Here is my 1972 Telecaster bass next to my 2011 60th Anniversary P-bass.

My cousin and I played together (with me on drums) on and off for over thirty years. I was with him in 1975 when he bought this used. Earlier this year I ran into him and he said that he was going to sell almost all of his gear since he doesn't play out anymore. I ended up buying his Tele bass that I've always lusted for.
