My family had 2 cats from the shelter, and both had amazing personalities. One small tabby was very very affectionate, and would often hang around my computer desk, every now and then peeking over the top of the monitor. She would also reach out and grab your arm when you were about to get up and walk away. Had to put her down in september though, was sad. But i take comfort in knowing she had a long and happy life with us instead of being snuffed out years ago.
Our other cat from the pound is a massive Main Coon-mix. He was like 20 lbs at one point and no, it he wasnt fat. Very vocal and smart as a whip, will always sit on your lap, chest or stomach when he can. Hes actually pretty dog-like, he will greet you at the door, beg for food, and meow when you look at him and say his name. Hes getting old though (17 right now), and his time is coming |
