Pre ernie vs. Rick vs. XL2

Ok I am getting ready to plunk down some cash and although they are different animals, I love the way each of them sound and have their own flavor and sexiness, not to mention the 2k price tag. I am majority of Reggea influenced with some funk/disco. Any thoughts from someone who has first hand experience with these would be awesome.
Thanks

I've owned all 3 of these basses. If I were to rank them for the style of music you play, it would be:

1. Pre Ernie
2. XL-2
3. Ric

The XL-2 is a great bass. One of the all-time greats, IMO. Years ago I sold mine to a friend, who still plays it. Every time he sees me, to this day, he thanks me for selling him that bass.
