Problems with my active bass (battery draining really fast?)
I have a six string Pedulla bass that I purchased earlier this summer, & I really really enjoy the instrument. However, I have been having some problems with the battery or the electronics.
In the past 3 or 4 months, I've had to replace the battery once already, & I don't leave the bass plugged in. Today, I plug the bass in and the volume is almost non-existent. The past couple of times I've played it it sounded a little bit distorted, especially in the lower register. I can't help but think that 2 battery changes in 3 or 4 months is abnormal, especially since I'm very careful not to leave it plugged in when I'm not playing it. Could this be a problem with the electronics?
This is my first active bass, but I don't think that the batteries should be draining quite this fast. I mean, I spend most of my playing time on my passive P Bass which sounds fine on my amp. I've probably spent less than 15 hours with that bass plugged in since I changed the battery. What's going on?
