question about new bass style

well im trying to move on and buy a diferent "Level" bass, now i have two basses,
a california jazz bass with changed mics from a luthier
and a vintage modified fretless squier.

now im trying to buy a new bass awith the objective to record, and playing live, i saw this one:

http://www.mercadolibre.com.ar/jm/im...t=T&sll=592929

its a signature bass from shecter his specs are:

· 5 string, solid wood
· one piece neck (Neck Trhu W/Ultra Access) walnut and ash.
· rosewood 34" y 26 (Jim Dunlop 6100).
· solid body of mahogany.
· Mics Seymour Duncan Basslines (1 Soap Bar & 1 JB-2)
· bridgeSchecter Custom String-Thru Body.
· grover

well this signature bass is from a bassist from argentina "Javier Malosetti"

and its a superior level of a Stiletto custom 5, here we can borrow him for a price beetween mexican and american fender bass (for making a example).

do you think that with this configuration i can have a good bass for playing in public with music like floyd, beatles, queen, jazz, latin jazz.
or that configuration is exclusive for x type of music?.

do you recomend signature models?, and the las thing, do you know other good basses for playing not a specific type of music with a price beetween a american fender and a mexican fender?, (washburn, warwick or yamaha, because i dont know models of this brands).

thanks for all!
