Wow!!! | That R Jazz bass looks great!
I never said mine was called J bass, the headstock in mine is normal "R" style (amongst other differences). I did not buy the bass from R himself, the seller said Ray called this model "new vintage" and I didn't ask for more than that, but that is irrelevant. What matters to me is it's great playability and tone.
I bought this bass about 10 years ago. When was yours built? |

| | | | The bass is soo nice! It has a very punchy but open sound. It almost sounds like a hollow body. It has a very musical sound, if you know what I mean.
Ray does a great job!
The top wood is Paduak over an Alder body with a wenge/maple neck. |

I hate to do it, I never thought that I would place this amazing bass on sale it or trade it, but I am force to down grade to a 5 stringer bass, due to a new medical condition I develop on my elbow, it’s called Tennis Elbow or Golfer's Elbow, is a pain in the joint. I have being told this is a permanent injury. I have to move to a 5 string bass.
