Looks like an American standard with an s-1 switch to me. What's giving you doubts?

Looks like a 2003 American Standard with 2008+ high mass bridge and tuners.

Looks like a real American Fender Jazz, but I would question the period incorrect (IMO) tuners and bridge.

the bridge and tuners are correct for a 2003. That's not the HMV bridge or the Fender/Hipshot tuners

You are right about the bridge. I should have looked closer!

I don't recall the tuners looking like that on a 2003, but it has been a while since I owned one.

It's a real Jazz.
Not sure if it#s a real fender.
Does it play well and sound good?

Looks authentic. The only way that bass would be any better is if it was a Precision Bass.
