seafoam green and sonic blue are two of the best looking colors a guitar/bass could ever be hands down

Turquoise (a metallic teal) was a standard RIC color from 1994 to 2003. In incandescent light, it looks like metallic green; in daylight (or strobe), it looks like a metallic blue-green. I've seen it on 4003, 4003S, 4003S/5, 4003S/8, 4001V63, and 4004L. I have both a V63 (one of three I've seen, could be more) and a 4004L (one of two I've seen). I "converted" the 4004L Laredo to a 4004Cii Cheyenne II by exchanging the chrome-plated hardware to gold-plated. Another difference between the Laredo and Cheyenne II is supposedly the body-wing construction. The Cii is supposed to have the maple/walnut/maple sandwich construction, while the L has just maple. However, once in a while you may find a Laredo with the sandwich construction, and this Turquoise bass is one of them. So now the only thing on it that isn't truly Cheyenne is the jackplate. It's chrome, but I didn't want to lose its original plate with the serial number stamped in. I gotta tell you; Turquoise is KILLER with gold-plated hardware!!!

You could simply take any color RIC and ship it to a refinisher and have them color match the paint and get pretty darn close. It's a color somewhere between sonic blue and seafoam green. You could have this done pretty cheap for about $300, which would end up costing you less than an original.

It is gorgeous, but white with black binding, black pick guard, and chrome hardware will always be the best for me. Hope to one day have one like that that plays as nice as my '86 Jetglo 4003.

Mine's a limited edition on from August 2002. Not for sale.
You'll enjoy one of these.
Mine has kept its colour - possibly as it doesn't go out under stage lights a lot - some go slightly green.

Even against other Rics, a Blue Boy is distinctive!

I had the pleasure of borrowing my friend's blue boy for a few days recently. Not long after, he sold it on eBay.... For *more* than he asked.

Yeah, saw it, but won't pay that much.
I'm not a collector or a purist, so I have no issue doing a refin on a mapleglo for less.
