Flexible approach I would say! Since the width for each pickup half is the same, you can put the three strings bobbin either in the bridge or the neck position.

It's fine. Only depends on if you want the A string to be sensed in the same position as the B/E strings or D/G strings.

Nothing "wrong" about it.

Sure looks weird. They should have put dummy polepieces on it to look right. Kind of freaks me out, to be honest.
