Am quite excited at the prospect...

I'll take some pics when I get a chance - I'm flying to NYC tomorrow morning for some (hopefully) amazing gigs and an appointment at Fodera... but I think I've made the right choice

The Hercules "universal" yoke is larger & worked for me... http://www.herculesstands.com/guitars/GSP29WB.html
It comes in a floor stand version as well... I modded one to hang on salt wall...
Cheers.

Here are a couple of shots of me playing live with the Ritter Classic 7-string #723 & an EBow at The Spill Festival, last Saturday night with the band I play in: Temper Temper. (Since getting it, I've been away and only had a chance to play it briefly the night before the show, but thought I might as well give it a go...)
What I don't understand is why so much is written about the way Ritters look, with so little about the way they sound, because holy cow on a cracker, the tone is fantastic - massive low end punch and terrific mid range detail! I particularly like the mid controls and there are plenty of different, really useable sounds to explore using the other controls. Seven strings are going to take some getting used to, but the neck is so well shaped and proportioned, it'll be a 'brain thing', not ergonomics.
Rather than wait for pics from the official photographer, I got a band mate to take some snaps during sound check, hence the quality's not great...

He has quite a collection of basses, including a bunch of Dingwalls and he was blown away by the playability and craftsmanship and of course, the TONE(S!) He even overcame his '7-string fear'...
Here are a couple of pics he took of me & #723 with his new top-end camera (it has a gyroscope!) With the fisheye you can even see my rig on the other side of the room! ( Euphonic Audio Micro 550 into a Barefaced Midget T - a 1x12 with a tweeter)

I finally got around to recording sounds samples of my Ritters, posted them on Soundcloud here: http://soundcloud.com/basdyret/sets/ritters
I'm a bit rusty and didn't bother to spend too much time with it - everything's first takes, just recorded to show what they sound like. Please listen with headphones to get the best results
The PU samples are just to show how the sound changes when changing PU settings, mainly. I had tons of fun with the OPA-drive and tremolo in the Okon...!

The auction always starts at below $5 and is always pulled by eBay within 24hrs. Obviously (IMHO) a scammer, but it does always have me wondering! |

They wrote me back and said that they wanted $1000 for it, and once someone wrote them and told them they wanted it, they would remove it. Apparently, someone decided to buy it. The situation is weird, but they do have 100% positive feedback. I have no idea why they wouldn't list it for $1000 if that is what they wanted for it. If it is legit, someone got a great bass for one heck of a deal. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
