Roto 77s on my Ric

Sign in to disble this ad
I posted a couple weeks ago about how I was given a Ric 4003 for my anniversary. Since that time, I've been playing with it and, frankly, was having a hard time getting comfortable with the tone where I had to position my hand to work around the pickup cover.

This morning, I installed a Pickguardian pickup cover and a set of Rotosound 77s and could not be happier. I put Chromes on my P bass about eight months ago and have since fallen in love with flatwounds - particularly through my Mesa Walkabout. Running the flats on my Ric sounds awesome (to me, at least) and I can't wait for them to break in and mellow even more.

I realize this isn't anything new to this forum, but I am so happy with the results that I needed to share.

I hope everyone had a great 4th!
