Yesterday, I listened to the Obscura's last album Omnivium, for the first song, we here a bass solo! And what a surprise when I hear exactly the sound that I want. But I want to know how to have it, I recognise a lot of medium but I can't make this sound.
I've got a Lado Signature 4 (1 jazz pickup and 1 precision pickup).

This is the song Septuagint from Obscura:YouTube - ‪OBSCURA - "Septuagint"‬‏

and a guy who have the perfect sound too :YouTube - ‪One Handed Bass Player‬‏

Recreating a studio recorded sound in one's bedroom or even practice room is difficult, at best.

There is MUCH utilized in the recording chain that you probably don't have in your set up - nor would most in a live situation.

This, +1. I've seen Obscura live twice and pestilence once (same bass player) and each time his tone sounded nothing like it does on the records. It was still a great tone, but it's going to be near impossible to match the tone he uses in the studio. He was using a Warwick 6 string fretless thumb the first time I saw them and the other time a fretless ibanez prestiege if that helps.
