It was the mid-90's, I was a poor college student in a remote corner of the world wanting to improve the sound of his crap-electronics Washburn bass.
Roger Sadowsky treated me like a pro, answered all my stupid questions and then some with great courtesy, offered keen insight into my troubles, and delivered a top-notch product (the sadowsky outboard preamp) to my door.
Should the funds (and the will to spend them on a bass
) ever become available, I'm going for a Sadowsky. If the guy treats his instruments even half as good as he treated me, a noname from nowhere, it will be the best jazz bass I'll have played.
