And it's frankly very bizarre that somebody who's been on TB since 2000, a supporting member with an avatar, hasn't seen the thousands of threads about Sadowskys, and doesn't know that Sadowsky produces several different models and ranges, and thinks that such a vague question as "maybe getting one, thoughts" makes any sense at all.

So...I may have a lead on a Sadowsky...I should have probably been more specific, but right now, that is all the info I have. So let me re-phrase my question...

Any constructive, ie without the barbs, thoughts in general on Sadowsky that may be helpful?

I have terrible service up here in the mountains and am unable to sift through years of posts...the quoted response as an example of the bs I do not have time or bandwidth to sift through...

Thanks

Sadowsky basses are wonderful and their customer service is beyond reproach.

Now, I hate to sound mean, but dude, there are thousands of posts about Sadowsky here at TB. Please do a search and you'll get all the answers you need.

Let me help you: Club Sadowsky (Part 26)

Note there are 25 parts preceding #26 linked above. Have fun reading!

You will find basses that are as well made but you won't find any that are better made.

Amazing playing, looking and sounding Basses, customer service is great. The whole Sadowsky experience has been nothing but positive for me.

Well, if you live in Watertown, you probably need to get the Sadowsky to make a small start in balancing things out.

I bought a UV70 a couple of years ago. Since then I have bought two NYC Standard 4's. I won't play or record with anything else. My Custom Shop 64 Jazz. Warwick, Modulus, and Music Man are all for sale. Go for it!

I don't think he was trying to imply you should sift thru thousands of past posts, but maybe just enough to give you answers to the questions you're after. Honestly, your question did come off as "lazy" and unfocused perhaps since you don't have "time". Given all of the posts about Sadowskys, your question is akin to asking someone, "how do you like driving". Sorry, not intended to be a barb but you should frame your questions better in the future. Why do you think some of the responses to your question were "comedically cynical"?

I guess I'm not sure what you're looking for as far as an answer. As mentioned, they have a few models. Being that you're looking at a $2000+ instrument, I would think you have more info than "a Sadowsky" from your line.

Metro or NYC?
Modern or Vintage?
P, JJ, PJ, etc?
4 string or 5 string?

They are all great basses, but it really depends on what you're looking for to say it's great for you. Without knowing more info, it's tough to say anything more than that.

IF you have to ask such a question in such a manner...maybe you don't deserve one
