See!! there's a silver lining to everything. Even Sadowsky basses I'm sure.
Nothing is over/underrated if the person rating is an optimist. |

| | | | I love these useless threads. Sadowsky is NOT overrated, over priced, or over anything - perhaps under appreciated. I've known Roger for several years and upon visiting his new shop I was intimidated. Not because of the shop itself (which is amazing) but because the NYC pieces are incredibly clean and crafted to a standard that I still aspire to. It's not easy to explain to people who aren't in the industry, but even if they were over 8K in this lovely economy they would still be worth every penny. |

| | | | To me Lakland is more overrated than Sadowsky. Played a Lakland and felt the plastic knobs on it seemed cheap. I FREAKING love my USA P-Bass, period. Does exactly what it is supposed to and the neck feels sweet like a 19-year old _____... ;-) |

This is coming from someone who likes Sadowsky Basses. Reading these post most of the obnoxious are coming from those who favor sadowsky basses. Everyone should have there own opinion. I think there should not be personal attacks on those with agreements or non agreements about a product.

Just like everything else.

That's a pretty huge endorsement considering the level if quality coming out of your shop! |

I bought it without ever playing one and love it. I will say this...it is by far the nicest crafted bass in my stable(currently 15). You can not measure any gap in the neck pocket....at all....I would think that it is cut accurately with a cnc with attention to any tool wear negatively affecting size with a slight interference/press fit so that the neck has to be slightly tapped in. The pickguard is cut so it PERFECTLY lines up with the radii of the pot cavity plate, finish on the back of the neck is like silk....yada yada yada. I have one of the first (36/100) fender select jazzes....u could crawl in and take a nap in the gap of the neck pocket, the nitro finish on the back of the neck is like superglue until u wear it off, and two of the tuners were rattling loose cuz the nut wasn't tightened from the factory....saying all of that, they r two of my main basses playing live and I think they both sound great....different, yes, but great. Buy em both. Pretty soon I sill probably get back into the more trebly, farty sound again and buy a geddy lee and a vintage 70s sadowsky with the bridge pickup moved .400" closer....its all just a circle....no ones reinventing the wheel. |
