Sadowsky Neck Width at the Heel in 5-strings
Here is one for all you Sadowsky owners. I sent this question to them, but in the meantime. . .
I have a 5-24 but have never played a J5 (21 frets) and I'm interested in one.
Questions for those who are familiar with both models:
1. The 5-24 has a heel that is 3" wide (right?), and I'm assuming the heel of a J5 is the same. Now, doesn't this make the neck of the J5 wider in general? (Nut is the same, at 1-7/8"). Or is the 21-fret neck just a tad narrower at the heel so the dimensions of both necks are identical minus the 3 last frets?
2. Is the neck profile on both models the same? The J5 is a 2009 - my 5-24 is a 1999. I've played two other 5-24s, and I've found the profile to be identical, but I wonder if the profile of the 21-fret neck is different, for example, thicker front to back.
3. Ergonomically speaking, any other considerations between the two models?
