As far as I know Sage Green was never offered on an MIA Fender.

Correct - sage green was a MIM color only.

Bass Central - great people, they work on pricing, & they know their stuff. As for colors, you can check the Fender site, but there is nothing quite like that sage green available right now.

Not correct. I have an American Standard Precision in Sage Green and it is beautiful. A little bit lighter in shade than the MIM version. A 1998 I believe.

If color is that important to you, and your budget allows something as expensive as an MIA, then I suggest you get the model you want regardless of color, then simply have the body refinished in the EXACT shade of green that you want.

I don't think Sage Green was ever offered at an MIA color. My dad has been wanting a green MIA P-bass forever. They rarely turn up. There were a few teals, but not many bold greens.

There were at least SOME Sage Green MIAs made as I have one. Though Sage Green is not a "bold" green, it is actually a soft metallic green, not bright or bold in any way. Actually very classy I think, similar to Ice Blue.

Cool, never thought they did a Sage, would be great to see a picture if you can get one.

I have an MIM Strat in Agave Blue, always dug how it looked. I think that was the same 2000s era of the Sage.

Absolutely right - it does exist! A good friend of mine owns one and I was surprised to see that it was a US bass.

Eyes peeled!

How come there aren't more Fenders in green (sage or otherwise) ? I would love a nice metallic emerald green P-bass.

Yeah the sage green is a cool color. Used to have a MIM P in that shade. Nice lookin/playin bass. Saw a sage green jazz on ebay in the past but never one of the American ones (didn't know they made em).

That is possible. I'll see if I can take a photo later of my MIA P and put it up. Though it is very similar to the Sage Green I have seen on the MIMs, it does have a bit more of the silver shimmer and is slightly lighter in shade than the MIMs. Just looks like the more common MIM Sage Greens but faded a bit.

In case anyone is interested. Not listed as Sage Green but it sure looks like it. Ends about 10 hours later from when I write this. Sage Green MIM Jazz. Looks nice, someone go get it!

I had to research sage green.
I guess mine is more "mint-ish green".(And its MIM)

Its also NOT factory paint...which is why its not very glossy looking.(I did not do the paint)
