Samick Five-String Bass
Anyone know anything about this bass/have experience with it? Thanks

I don't know about that bass in particular, but the second bass I ever owned was a Sammick 5-string. If I remember correctly (it was a long time ago), it had the same body shape and same pickup and control config. The fretboard was rosewood, though, and it had curious inlays: either planets with discs or flying saucers, the opinion was split on it.

Was a fun bass, though. Was easy to play, and I recall it sounding pretty good. And of course they are priced great.

The only negatives that I recall was the string spacing (quite narrow, but some folks actually like that, so may not be so much of a negative) and the G was noticeably quieter than the rest of the strings. I put a Quarter-Pounder in the neck position, and that fixed the quiet string issue.
