Sandberg TM5 question

Hey guys.

In the market for a Sandberg. I *thought* I had my heart set on a VM5. But today I went and played one of their Jazz basses and I have to say, it changed my mind on the spot.

But a lot of folk play Jazz-type axes and I was thinking of spinning mine a little diff. So: the TM5. Has a humbucker in bridge position. Unfortunately they didn't have this exact model in the shop, so I'm kinda wondering: How does the humbucker affect the tone, exactly? Is it a bit nooby to think that it's a "super-charged" Jazz sound?

Also, it seems you can split the coil on the MM with a switch on the body. Will doing this ape the sound of a Jazz pickup or am I just a complete butthole who knows nothing?
