Save me from myself. (Again lol)

So yet AGAIN I have another dilemma.

I need to keep one bass and I really, really haven't the foggiest of an idea of which one to keep.

I have an SX SPJ-62 seen here:

The bass sounds A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I find myself regularly just cranking up that J - Bass pickup and getting goosebumps because of that metallic sound...Damn it just sounds mean...It's also mean on my back...I find that after 5 minutes of playing it, my shoulder, neck and back are absolutely KILLING ME...Which is why I'm glad I have this:

It's an SX SPB-57. I love the fact that it's so lightweight, but I'm so lukewarm about the sound...Yeah it sounds like a typical P-Bass, but I just can't get over that growl my SPJ has! But I feel more comfortable playing a short scale, especially on my back. I can play a short scale for an hour with no problem whereas I'd need a wheel-chair for the SPJ lol.. I just simply can't stand up and play the SPJ and I hate sitting down and playing it - that's extremely uncomfortable!

What do you guys think I should do???

Exercise those core muscles?

Altermatively, rout out some of the body (of the bass) under the pickguard or from the back.

One bass is KILLING you. The other is not.

I hate to say it, because I like SX...but if you want a J and the SX is too heavy...sell them both and buy a Squier CV J.

I was thinking that but I feel like you can get more bang for your buck with SX.

I love their SX Ursa Jaguar Bass knock offs, but oh my GOD - Those headstocks are so damned ugly! I really do dig the J pickups though. I love the sound they give out.

I put both of them up for sale, so I think whatever one doesn't sell first is the one I'm going to keep. I played the SPJ today for a good hour. I'll tell you what - it's so weird switching from normal size to short scale! I can play harder on a full scale but I feel like I have to "Tone it down" while playing a short scale. Otherwise I'm smashing strings with my pick! ahaha
