SBMM SUB Ray 5 or Squier VM Jazz V?
Looking to pick up a 5 string as a backup to my Spector rebop 5.
Looking in the $300 New range, these seem to be my best options. Local dealers trend to only carry the big names and everyone overprices their used gear to the point where buying new makes more sense.
Which of these would be the better pick, favoring in weight, tone, and playability?
Feel free to make other suggestions too.
To cut it short:
In tone: Squier VM Jazz V is best
In weight: Sterling Sub 5 is lighter
In playability: tennis style, it's "deuce" I think!
Hope this helps
PS: I'd go Squier, but, comin' from Spector, you'd probably favor Sterling Sub
I'd like to try a Sub 5. The sure look cool.
