The schecter raiden elite is active. even though it does have a set of EMG MM-Hz pick-ups. you must be thinking of the schecter raiden special. that bass is passive.
On the subject of what schecter 5-string bass I like, I like the schecter stiletto basses. these basses I like for their smooth curvacious bodies and the fact that it can provide smooth warm sounds. I own 2 schecter stiletto basses. I have a schecter stiletto elite 5-string bass(which I play in my band) and a schecter stiletto extreme 4-string bass(which I play in my brother's band). these basses are definitely my main bass guitars. I would recommend schecter basses anyday. if you're interested in buying any of the schecter basses that you're checking out, I'd say give them a shot. you'll be amazed by these bass guitars.
