I played a 5 string, which was equipped with EMG40DCs (they came like that apparently), and I thought it was a killer bass. I remember playing it thinking Schecter needs to put active EMGs in their basses instead of the HZs, and reissue the Cali Custom. Well they haven't done the latter sadly but the new Hellraisers have tappable EMGs, but I digress.
Get it, I'd say. They're a Jazz bass on steroids for a good value. That, and they are some of the classiest Jazz basses I have seen.
