I saw that, but can't get over the over $400 price bump. I mean the passive has some very hot responsive pups, and I usually like active basses.

I just picked up one of these. Never tried this, but hope it will be good enough for occasional gigs.

very happy with the 4 string version, this would be my choice in going to a 5 string.

The 5 string would be an easy transition in this series.

Well that was a bust. Out of stock until MARCH?

Oh well back to the drawing board.

The main reason is space. I bring 2 basses with me to gigs, and I can fit both with ease in gig bags. Plus I can put one on my back, and carry the other. Just makes life ALOT easier.

+1

When it comes to load-ins, I'm a "one & done" kinda guy - gig bag over the shoulder, Markbass 121P combo (30 lbs) in one hand, guitar stand in the other. My bandmates hate me.

Looks fantastic. Great score.

I'm gassing badly for the 4-string version of this. Do you know how it compares sound-wise to the Model-T. I'm torn between the two but am not able to try the two out anywhere.

I have never tried the Model T so you might want to do a search on this forum, or start a thread.

Schaller Strap locks should be here any day now. Then I can try this baby out in a band setting.

The reason I sold mine (11+lbs)..... the weight and 35" scale combined to cause "great shoulder and left hand pain".... I really wanted to keep it... the pickups (as I recall) are ceramic and thus have a solid STRONG sound.. I loved it, live or recorded... the five inline tuners made it difficult to find a case for it too... (RoadRunner was the solution...., I also used a stock MF Bass Bag....)

I remember reading your thread on this bass when I was looking to buy my first Diamond P. I wanted to get another RoadRunner (CRUIZER) but they have since discontinued it. I'm still looking for a nice $50 gig bag with the nice big front pocket.

Sorry to bring up an old post. Have your knobs started falling off yet? Mine have gotten all wobbly and the push pull knob broke off entirely.

Nope working great! I love this bass. This is my second one. Only sold the first because I wanted one in white.

It was what convinced me to get mine when I did. I don't get along with anything less than 18 mm or so.

It's incredibly comfortable to play. I sold my Fender Mustang and kept this. ...but mine seems to be falling apart at the moment. Wood is splitting near my tuners, paint is splitting near the neck joint, and knobs are getting wobbly.Maybe I'm just bad at taking care of it.

If it's in warranty I would call Schecter.
