I bought this bass used as my first bass guitar several years ago. A few years ago it started to distort really bad so I took it to a guitar repair shop to investigate the problem. Seeing how I loved the bass so much (It has to be the best feeling bass i own) I let them do whatever it took to fix the problem. The input jack was replaced, the entire guitar was rewired and a fresh battery was installed (Which was the first thing I did anyway). they then told me to play with my knobs only half turned up (because if i didnt it would distort yet again). I never had that problem before I always play with all my knobs at full blast. I'm beginning to thing maybe the pickups are fried because that is the only thing it could be. Right now the bass wont play at all (yes, fresh battery). No one around here at any guitar store or repair shop can figure out the problem and schecter tech hasnt been a big help at all. Has anyone ever had this problem or have an idea how to fix it? |
