My Schecter Custom-4 with an 05 serial number. Owned it since it was new; can't believe it's been 7 years! I just turned 21, so I've owned her since I was 14 years old. And I need a number!

Just furthering my allegiance to the Schecter club....

Here is my "new to me" Diamond P- Custom picked up on Tuesday from a fellow TB'er...

LOVE IT!

Sorry about the crappy pic. I snapped it in a hurry......

Did a setup, changed the volume knobs, and put D'Addario ETB92's on it right away and set it all up.....plays great!

My Schecter Stiletto Custom-5. Been playing it since 2005. It was my only bass until recently... that Fender just came yesterday.

Love this bass.

the only thing i dont really like on this bass but not a huge deal is that there is no battery box... i hate having to take the screws out when i need to replace the battery. they easily strip out too. i dont know if they make a model that does have a sepereate box but if they do im interested... and maybe some more tone options like the studios maybe? i have not tried a studio yet but would like to. there really isn't much im looking for thats different, more or less one more bass with equal quality and feel...

Most of the upper-end basses will have a separate, easy-access battery box.

the studio has a separate compartment for the batteries (18-volt pre) and it has threaded brass inserts so there's no need to worry about stripping the wood.

Which is something I've been meaning to do to my Stiletto at some point.

My new Raiden Special 5!

I've had two Schecter basses in the past, about 5-6 years ago - a jazz bass model, then a beautiful Stiletto 5, but over time I parted with them & the Schecter brand kind of just fell off my radar. I don't get out to GC much, but I was able to do so this past Monday afternoon just to "browse" because I haven't walked into any GC in well over a year. Played a few things, and saw this beauty - after 5 min with it, I had to have it. What a tone! Build quality is as fabulous as I remember it from the Stiletto Elite I used to own years ago - perhaps even slightly better. It's good to own a Schecter again & even better to see that they keep raising the bar on build quality & pickup options, etc. This bass should rightfully be tagged at twice the asking price! Superbly constructed instrument that sounds even better than it looks & plays like butter!

Raiden Special 5:

Thank you! But the tone & playability was the main seller. The looks don't hurt either though!

Let me say upfront that I do not have a Schecter Bass. In fact I have been playing only for a month. I have a Peavey Millennium 5 AC BXP 5 string my wife got me after I mentioned it was one of the things on my bucket list. I am old enough that those things matter. I love the Millennium however I have my eye on a Schecter Studio 5 string in honey satin. I have enjoyed reading all 43 pages of this thread in the last 2 days and can't wait to get the Sudio 5 so I can post a picture and join the group. Great thread.

Here is a pic of the Millennium.
