Anyone who's owned or played:

Good slap tone?

Can it be low and mellow?

What is with the push pull pop feature?

How does the neck feel (laquery?)

How does this compare to say, sterling ray 34 basses?

I have one. There is no parallel/series switch on mine. Maybe they were on earlier models. Wasn't an option when I got mine.

It's two EMGHZs with the BTO preamp. Master volume, Blend, Bass(Boost-Cut) and Treble(Boost-Cut).

Great fast neck, good fit and finish. EMG pickups are sterile or hi-fi and I didn't care for them. I upgraded to SGD's and I love the tone now.

So I've always been curious, what is the difference between the Stargazer and the 004 - if there even is a difference at all?
