Yeah, a whole lot of work did not go into that.
"Hmm, how close can we cut this without Gibson suing us?"

Nikki is turning into just as much of a whore as Gene and Paul.

Shouldn't they have just put in the first 7 frets and called it a day? 2 OCTAVES? Purleeze. (/catty filter off)

Meh...

Don't see much of a "need" for it on the open market, IMHO. The one thing I DO like, however, is the EMG PJ configuration w/ this body style... Reminds me of the Spector basses Nikki used to play back in the 80's.

The last Niki Sixx bass did not sell well. After a while Epiphone couldn't hardly give them away for 1/3 the original price.

I went to Bass pro shop and to my surprise they didn't have a single bass guitar.

It seems to be made from a good combination of decent quality materials. It's probably a pretty good bass. I'd be interested in trying one, before I made any negative statements about it.

Again another company trying to bank off someones name offering another probably dumbed down mediocre bass.

Same went for the Gibson Nikki Sixx bass. The first version sold poorly, the reworked 2nd version sold worse. Does no one appreciate the Opti-Grab™???

Well, then it would suit my playing. Dumbed down and mediocre.

I had a first version Blackbird for a few years... it was a decent bass, but all I could think about when I tried the Opti-Grab out was how much leverage the bass has in breaking your pinky if you stick it though there...

Is that the Opti-Grab that was mentioned earlier?

It looks like someone sanded the edges of T-Bird and gave it an ugly paint job.

I own a Gibson Nikki Sixx T-bird and ( regardless of the absurd opti-grab ) it's a decent sounding/playing bass ( a touch brighter and tighter than my regular T-bird ).

Gotta say I don't like the Schecter Sixx though. As it's allready been said it looks like they've tried to get as close to a thunderbird shape without being sued.

Pretty fulgy.
