I don't see why you couldn't use a Kahler on a fretless. But I've never tried so... there you go.

Glad you liked the vid. That band is fun. Any excuse to play Primus is a good one if you ask me.

Here's a CB fretless with a Kahler trem at the top of the page: http://www.cbbasses.com/thenews1.htm

Awesome thank you for the link! That bass is fairly recent (as far as the time it takes to make a custom), so there are just a few around then. That's a cool little niche I want to be in!
Perhaps the start of another club? maybe not, too many here already!

If this all works out, it'll be a sweet bass. The design looks really cool.

Thank you! I hope it does. So my plan is, after I move, I'll sell my warwick on ebay or here, then I'm going to buy a used Ibanez sr506 to replace it, then put the rest of the money towards the custom. Hopefully I'll only have to come up with $400-$500 at most.
I went to GC today to make sure the Ibanez was what I wanted and turns out it's perfect.

doesn't make sense having a trem on a fretless... wouldn't sound much different from sliding and seeing as you can slide harmonics on a fretless too ther'es not even that for it... of course if you're into combining modern jazz fusion trem usage (alex hutchings) and dive bombing with fretless bass playing there might just be a use for it :b

It'll sound a lot different than sliding.
