Should I trade my 2010 Godin Shifter 4 for a Dingwall Combustion? Because, right this minute, I'd love to do just that if I could find a dance partner....

Dingwalls are nice, but I wouldn't do it for a Combustion (the only Dingwall made in China.)

Well I think the Godin Shifter is Canadian made. The Dingwall Combustion has Canadian made components but assembled in China. Take your pic. Personally, I wouldnt mind either of the 2.

If you like real small frets, banjo size, and fanned frets sure, why not. Otherwise Id say no.

The Combustion is a very good bass, it does have a more traditional tone and feel to it than say an Afterburner, i used my combustion last weekend for the first time since i got my Afterburner II and i forgot how good it was, and as for the it was made in China thing, its been very well made and checked at the Dingwall factory before you get to try it, and they have just released a version 2 of the combustion so you might get the version 1 a bit cheaper but make sure the V1 has the B string booster fitted, its a great upgrade, its standard on the V2, hope this helps just my 2 cents worth.
