Should I Buy This Bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey TB!
So I was talking with a girl at work about music theory, college, instruments we played etc., and through that she offered to sell me a Fender P. I couldn't get her to say much about it other than yes, it is a Fender, not squier, and it's got some wear on it. I don't know the year it was made, or anything else for that matter, but she offered to sell it to me for $150. I don't play four strings, but If I could turn it for any profit I would buy it. what do you guys think?

Go for it, but ask her out first. Maybe you can get her to drop the price.

Have her invite you over to look at her 'etchings' and inquire about the bass. Bring money but don't pull it out until you have both agreed to terms.

Even if it's crap, the parts are worth what she's selling it for. Buy it.

I cant ask her out, though but that probably would help. I'm probably gonna get her to email me some pics of the headstock (fender or squier question-answered!) the serial number, and the body just so I can get a good idea of the damage. Load them up here to get some feedback, then make a decision.

Get a good look at her body. If it isn't ugly, pull it [your wallet] out of your pants and get down to business.
