You might as well keep your other bass IMO, you won't get much for it as trade in value But yea, VM are great basses.

Well if you want a guitar amp, that's a decent deal.

My Squier VM P is pretty nice, plays great. If you like a P bass a la Fender - go for it. I have to say, I had to clean mine up (previous owner was negligent), but good.

Wouldn't you rather keep it than get a small amount of money off another bass?

I had a Blue Voodoo - it's one very powerful and percussive head - but it needs the right cab. Preferably a 2 x 412 stack for best results.

Check out that cab and pull the numbers off the ID tag - there were some 'entry level' cabs by Crate - that although good, won't let that BV get up on it's legs.

I vote for keeping the other bass too - but WE ain't YOU and you should do what you think. You may regret losing it down the road though.

Is that price for both cab and head?

Those Blue Voodoos are killer amps.

I just picked up a used Squier VM Jazz last Friday an it is pretty killer for an inexpensive bass.

Dude, assuming it's all in good shape, that is a great price for that head and cab.

I dont doubt that the VM will be an improvement. I've been eyeballing a VM Jazz in a local pawn shop but so far they havent budged on the price.

BUT-a lot of people let go of their 1st bass and later regret it, even if it wasnt anything very good.

Personally, I dont miss mine (unusual for me because I'm VERY sentimental about "things") but there are TONS of people on here who always regret not keeping their 1st bass. Once its gone, you generally dont get a second chance to get it back.
