should i go fretless?

i've got a Fender MIM Blacktop Jazz, and i had the idea of buying an allparts fretless neck then just swapping the hardware, im not sure if it would be the best idea though, looking for some opinions. cheers

It depends on the sound you want to achieve, and obviously the feel of playing a fretless, not to mention how demanding it is. If you want to play fretless, go for it, as long as it suits your needs and/or will helps you to be a better bassist. Oh, and hope you like it if you finally decide to do it!

Yes. It's incredibly fun. The adjustment period can take a while, and it can be tedious and frustrating at times, but it's worth it.

My fretless is 3 months old at this point, and I play it loads more than my fretted. Fretless can be really fun and worth it, if you put in the effort.
