If its something sentimental to you, then keep it.

But for clearly most of them, it was the correct thing to do. If you've got 3 basses, some on these boards would concur that's not excessive and would suggest keeping it.
The comment about sentimental reasons resonated with me... If this is a 4 banger that you could replace if/when you want to play 4 bangers again, then you could probably sell it and not miss it... If it does have sentimental reasons and you can afford to keep it, hang on to it.

I would say don't sell it ....... not yet anyway.

So was my back. I ended up taking a bath on it, and just ordered an Icon 5. Now it's like waiting on puppies.
But I know what I'm getting for Father's Day. |

Gibson RD Artist bass
'71 tobacco sunburst Les Paul Standard
'69 ES-335
'70 Marshall 100w Super Lead
early '70s Twin Reverb
There's more, but I think I've made my point... I didn't sell any of that stuff because I needed money - I sold it because I wasn't playing it any more... I probably won't make that mistake again...

Is the bass appreciating in market value? Hang onto it.
The regular MIA Fenders I bought new on long sale a couple of years ago keep going up, so I'll hang onto them.
Is the market flat on it? Sell it if you can actually find a buyer with money. I'd sell at least a dozen of mine if anyone locally had any dough. It's just gear, don't overthink it or get emotional about it. When in doubt, follow the money.

If your not using it and you can use the money for something else, get rid of it.
