Show me your Highway one ''natural'' relic

Hi TBers,

I'm about to buy a HW one Fender P Bass and I would like to see how does it ''wears'' or ''relics'' over time (naturally, hold on to your sandpapers).

So, who of you have a beat-to-**** HW bass? Let's see them!

Also, do the neck of HW's are nitro too? I mean, do they yellow with age?

Yep poly, the only nitro fender necks are the american vintage 62/57 basses

Ok, it's a dead thread.
Might as well revive it by saying it's dead...let's see if that does the trick.

My Highway Geddy

The Body is a 2006 Highway one, bad cell phone picture. It has some significant wear on the area that my wrist resides and around the E string. The top nitro layer peels off and is kind of waxy. The poly underneath took a while before it actually showed signs of wear. Not the best picture, but 5 years of heavy sweating, 3 hour a night gigs, and many, many dive bars have given the bass a very used feel and look. I just added the covers recently but took the bridge cover off and reinstalled the BADASS II after 1 gig.

Nice! Maybe it's the bad camera, but it actually looks really glossy, not dull matte finished like the rest of the HWs.

Thanks. It is a matte finish but the spots in which there is wear, it is as if my skin worked as a natural buffing tool. So basically the entire area above the back pickup has a kind of sheen to it. WINNING.

Guess you like to anchor your thumb on both pickups

The Matte finish turns glossy after many miles on the road!

I love this bass.....Best player I've ever owned!
