Originally we were looking for a 2-3 bedroom place, with one of the bedrooms planned to be the music room, but the place we ended up with was a 1 bedroom with a den. It's more than big enough for us (just myself and my fiance), and then den is perfectly sized for my needs/instruments.
Here's moving in:
And after setting it up:
There's a shelf that's going to go on the opposite wall by the door to store the miscellaneous accessories, cables, parts, etc., as well as be a place to set up my computer for quick recordings and playback when I want. I also have a clock and picture to hang up, and hopefully some other stuff to liven it up a bit. Not much compared to what a lot of people have here, but given that all my stuff previously just sat out in the living room, this is a nice change to have everything stored nice and neat, give me a little private spot to practice, and simply have a room of my own!

I wanted a dedicated music room (basically an extra bedroom to keep all my gear in, practice in, etc.). I used to keep basses in closets and under beds and had a little tiny corner in the guest bedroom/office of our old house. My second item was I wanted a garage or detached garage that could one day be renovated into permanent rehearsal space.
Here's my music room now. Both my rigs are at practice, but I have a Walkabout Scout in the room. I've got my recording setup on the desk (iMac, Presonus gear and Avalon U5), all my basses can be on stands, etc. Here's a quick iphone pic, I'll have to take some nice shots.
At some point, this detached garage will get renovated into a climate controlled rehearsal space and home studio. However, that is a project for another time when the finances are right for it.

It may not be as full as some others here, but I like it.
My Warmoth Gecko with a print I got for Christmas off Fenders website
My Custom P Bass in Ocean Turquoise Metallic.
I eventually want to hang this bass on the wall. We(my wife) picked the window treatments and loveseat color from this bass
On the wall are some magazine posters I bought off Ebay 2 years ago.
A close up of the artwork

| | Don't want no treble. | | Join Date: May 2012 Location: Long Beach CA | | The Man Cave doubles as guest quarters. Guests are inbound. The War Department arranged for sofa and carpet cleaning. She made me move all the furniture and gear (I had other plans that day, of course). The next day, she helped me clean, de-clutter and oil the woodwork. Then I hooked up all the gear. Basses are scattered around the premises, standard procedure to avoid being tallied by the wifey or her spies.
Huge improvement!! Happy wife!!!
