well let me bump the thread again with my newest kahlerized unit.

my charvel explorer with an old 2410 on it. I have an old 2410 in black that will eventually make it's way onto the bass.

just do what madmike said get a 7416 and remove a saddle. you will have all the spaceing you need. they are the same price for the 7415 and 7416 anyway. this way you have a spare saddle.

the seller doesn't have 7416

okay so now I got some situation here, I had dilemma between what to do about it

if I insist to put kahler 7415 on my Cort RB5 then there's an advantages and disadvantages about it; the RB5 was my go to bass, my main bass, if I still want to put 7415, then I had to sent the wrong item back to the seller, takes more time and cost me even more for import taxes, when the right item was on hands, then I should drill a cavity for kahler which can't be recover, and I was afraid to fail and can not return to its original.

if I compromise and accept the wrong item, I still can use it on my fretless (the pic I posted above), I can install it immediately and learn to use a tremolo bridge (it's gonna be first time for me) the bass itself was much cheaper than my Cort RB5 so if I have to install the kahler then I will not feel reluctant
the kahler itself was more expensive than the fretless bass itself..

any feedback are welcome..

My old pal Dave LaRue has several Sterlings with Kahlers. He's using Bongos now, though.

Here's mine with a Kahler. Haven't used it much over the past few years but I'm bound and determined to get it back in the rotation once I give it a preamp transplant. The 5 next to it has a Kahler fixed bridge, which is great until you need to adjust something.

There's an inexpensive bass with a stock tremolo if you can find one used.

Washburn BB4s - some have the tremolo bridge.
There's one on ebay right now for $399 + shipping.
