I know there are a few threads regarding this bass, but I'd like to get a thread together that focuses on pics of the instruments. The basses went through some pretty radical changes over the years that they were built.
Here's a pic of mine. It came with a fretted fingerboard, single dimmarzio P-bass pick up, and the Quan baddass bridge. Over the years the glue holding down the original rosewood finger board gave way, and rather than re-gluing it down, I had local luthier make a frettless fiinger board. At the same time the Kahler trem bridge went on and I had a J-bass pickup hole routed in, and installed a Duncan quarter pounder P-J set up.

Post 'em if you got 'em.

Rare?! I've never seen anything like it before!
Whammy on a fretless? I don't know what to say...
Sound clip, maybe?

I highly doubt anyone outside of Vancouver has ever heard of Attila or Odyssey basses/guitars. kudos to the guy for being a boutique builder in the 70's and I know the quality was there, they're just really ugly.

I have always thought that these were beautiful basses. Too bad there aren't more of them around. I wouldn't mind trying one out.

Better lookin'

The photos actually don't do it justice. It's really beautiful in the flesh. Especially considering some of the eye-wrecking bass atrocities I've seen elsewhere.

Granted, the 70s aesthetic isn't for everyone.

I played an Attila back in ...1979/1980 maybe.
It was basically a P layout: single split DiMarzio, fretted maple neck/board. Musicstop in Halifax was a dealer for them at the time and one showed up here in my small town somehow.
Sounded great, though I was deep in the throes of Rickenbacker GAS. The price was quite reasonable if I remember correctly. Under $500 new, I think.
Never heard much more about the company until now.

Love that body binding on the second example posted above.
Very nicely done.

I shouldn't have called them "ugly", who am I to make that call? to me the design isn't appealing but they're beautifully crafted that's for sure.
