Thank you... I'll check it out!

In answer to another poster about the hypothetical price of a B1 if it was made accidentally at today's prices - I'd guess between £11K and £13K as I think they were about £4K/£5 in 2003..... so in light of that, the one for sale for $20K/£14K is quite reasonably priced (!) seeing as though there are approx 47 in the world and a great number of those are stored away as investments or hung on HRC walls..... tbh I've only ever found the location of about 4 privately owned ones worldwide.
The guys at Status told me they know of owners who keep them in temperature contolled vaults and never play them - such a shame!

Temperature controlled vaults?***?
These are possibly the most durable & stable instruments ever built.

I know.... beggars belief doesn't it. There was a sense of disbelief from Status themselves during the conversation!
Mine doesn't even have a truss rod, such is the stability of the instrument.

Thanks for keeping this Thread around

Thanks Mods for keeping this around.

As much as Jaco was the Godfather of the Instrument, John Entwistle was a Crafter of its nature and character in ways that Leo Fender could never be.

It saddens me to read about Buzzard.

While I am happy with my 4 Ibanez BTB's and my action is sub 1mm on the High strings and sub 2mm on the Low B, I would have liked to see Status be allowed to offer this piece of history to the more discriminating players of the world.

In short, I declare that I flame the living crap out of Warwick, forever.

Never played one I liked either, so it is not surprising John put Modulus necks on all the wood bodied basses sent to him.

This chapter of History needs to be preserved, and this thread was better than the Buzzard Site.

Please Keep it around.

No apologies.
