Funny you should mention checkerboard

I put this one on my old Geddy years ago, I was playing some Ska at the time so I guess it fit the bill. I definitely prefer other ones now, but it was fun while it lasted.

I'm seriously considering checkerboard for my black P. I might just start collecting odd 'guards for it and put on a new one every show.

It's not wacky, but it is poorly done!

I know, I know. I'm gonna re-do it at some point.

I'd get that tattoo'd on me, or at least put on a sticker and placed on something I own.

Not really whacky, but something I did myself-

I'm working on another pickguard doing something similar... I'll post if it doesn't look like crap.

I've got a similar pg on my Geddy right now. I also put it on during a Ska phase, but I dig it enough to leave it on indefinitely .
