SX Ursa 2, planned mods are:
Hipshot 3-string retainer;
Series/parallel switch (haven't decided on push/pull or a switch yet);
AV style threaded saddle bridge;
Straplocks.
Also needs some minor fretwork, and I'm gonna clean up the neck pickup route before adding a clear pickguard.
Total cost less than $200.

The shortage has allowed sellers to ask $350 to $400 for their 10+ year old MiM that cost them less than that brand new...
I'm guessing some of this is the trickle-down from the recent price increases Fender made on their new models. |

1986 Washburn B-5 (that I just recently sold) - $250
1987 Hohner B2A - $275
And my latest score - a brand new Ibanez SRA555 for $359 |

| | | All of my current basses have cost me less than $400. I am a fairly new collector and also pretty good at bargin hunting. My Stingray clone will end up costing more as I think will most of my future purchases, but the parts that I've bought so far cost less than that when added together.
Ibanez SDGR of unknown model ($92, with a spare set of Rotosound strings and a Flight Case)
Peavey Zodiac ($185, with hard case)
'76 Columbus Jazz ($78ish):
PBass Clone made from parts (Something like $200):
I'll add a picture of the Stingray clone I'm building when I've taken a newer one. The ones I have access to right now are all either before or during the stripping off of the old finish.
