Sign in to disble this ad
hey was just wondering how many of you erm American/Canadian/South American/other European/Australian...sorry to leave anyone out but its a long list...) girls/guys have play a bass from the UK? i understand a few have got Status basses on TB, but has anyone tried basses from the likes of (here comes the list) GB, Sei, Overwater, ACG, Shuker, Jaydee, RIM..sorry if ive left some out..

i understand that its difficult to get some of the amazing basses (if not have heard about) from the UK..just like its difficult to get basses to the UK, of the more unknown world luthiers...

any guys from around the world playing UK basses..whats your story and what made you buy them??

Don't put your money on a Jaydee, I've been unfortunate enough to own a couple.

I've nothing good to say about the woods and thinking, the Celeste 6 with 6 huge elephant ear tuners, helps to have two people, one to support the neck, frets sticking out either side of the board like a train track, saying that it played o.k (apart from minor cuts). Mark King model, I notice Mr King has more sense these days, neck was a different shape everytime...and I do mean everytime it came out of the case, front pickup too far forward.....don't even think about it unless you get a 'stable one' and you actually like the sound.

That Hayman is unique, looks like the spawn of a Wal and a Reverend.

Yes, but it pre-dates both. They were only made for a few years in the early 70's.

Seen quite a few guys from outside the UK post their ACG and Overwater basses.

As has been said, Alan from ACG posts her pretty often, great bloke!

Very happy with my Wal. It's truly a dream bass that deserves its mystique.
