I'm thinking when i get the cash together I'll be buying an Atkinson Jazz bass. I want stacked knobs for a vintage looks and some diffrent sounds. Since Dan allows you to completly make the bass yours color combo wise, I was wondering what color, fret board, pickguard combos look cool with the vintage controls. Lets see 'em

I love stacked knobs and have several basses with that set up. Here's a Warmoth in Shell Pink, and a parts Geddy.

Here's one more that's a stacker variant - my Koa Jazz with stacked knobs and a master volume that pulls up for series.

Probably not what you were looking for, but here's my "Jazz" with stacked knobs.

I probably should have thought it through a bit more when I was designing her, but the controls actually are quite flexible: Front pickup volume/tone, Bridge pickup volume/tone, Master volume/sweep.

Fullerton Jazz, c. 1982 (bought new St Patrick's Day 1983, relic'd over the next 27 years.)
I used to have a tradition of putting a white pickguard on this bass every Memorial Day and talking it off after Labor Day.

AH, I was wondering about that. I used to have a AVRI Jazz in Fiesta red w/ white guard. For a time I switched pickgurads w/ my burst Fullerton. The Fiesta looked sweet with tort. The burst looked, well.....like yours.

AGH! I can't handle this. The G.A.S. is excruciating. I recently saw a Dakota Red 62 RI for sale, but missed it. I died a little on the inside. It was so pretty.

The stacked knobs made this Warmoth custom a retro fantasy come true for me. And this thing totally stomps.
