+1 to it depends. I have two main basses:

1) Squier Affinity Precision Bass, stock, with D'Addario Chromes
2) Squier Standard Precision V (Jazz electronics) with D'Addario nickels

It really switches quite often. Sometimes it's a P day, sometimes it's a PJazz day.

Most days, I'm diggin' the straight-up P-Bass. It's just right..

Of the nine basses I own, this one is my fave - my 2008 Rickenbacker 4004Cii. It is the very first 4004Cii ever built with a 2-piece flame maple neck, and it is just a fantastic playing & sounding instrument.
