I was surprised that there wasn't actually one of these threads already! So, let's see those WARRIORS! (j-raj, walbassman, et al)
Here is mine. Lots of pics!
SPECS:
Warrior Signature 4 Neck Through
Mahogany/Purpleheart/Mahogany neck through
Swamp Ash Wings (that's right)
Birdseye Maple fretboard
Rosewood (I think) headstock face
Knobs: Mahogany(bottom)/Ebony pinstripe/Rosewood(I think-top)
Bartolini Music Man style pickup with a slim humbucker at the bridge.
Warrior designed 3 band pre-amp with 3 way mid switch. Very musical!
TEAL finish. Not pretty, but who cares.
Hipshot A style bridge.
Recessed strap locks.
Neutrik locking jack.
OK, HERE ARE THE PICTURES:
Here is the case. It is a cool looking TKL alligator skin looking thing.
The knobs. And you can see the swamp ash wings through the finish.
The only inlay on the fretboard is at the 12th fret. Pretty cool. This picture doesn't do justice to the birdseye.
Rosewood overlay on the headstock.
Another shot of the body.
The back and neck.
Back of the headstock.
Back of the body. Sexy carved curves!
TIDY Control Cavity. Nice work! |

Mahogany body wings with flamed spalted maple facings.
Mah/purpleheart neck.
Spalted maple knobs and headstock facing.
I think that they've only made a couple of fretless Isabellas so far.
Plays like butter.

Here are a couple of sound clips. http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=28347 http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=28863 |

KayCee | I know what you mean. People are blown away by how thin (front to back) this thing is in the upper register.
I would love to have an all white 4 string fretted Isabella! Maybe the next one. Their white finish is great! |

crhorton's sound clips are fantastic (playing and sound), and they inspired me to plug the Isabella fretless into the computer to make a sound sample.
Hope it works!

While I was waiting for the Isabella to be built, Warrior lent me a fretless Soldier model to me that was a "shop bass". It had a mah/pur/mah neck and ash body...a great playing, super punchy axe! BTW, I thought that was pretty nice customer service!
Actually, I've played about a half dozen Warrior basses, and all of them sounded and played great. I'm aware that they've had quality control issues in the past, but hopefully those problems are behind them. Quote: |
