Side Dots on Squier VMJ Fretless?

I've been thinking about getting a starter fretless, and the GAS has converged to the point I am about to buy one of these.

Are there side dots? I know there are no dots on the board, but it seems like it will be tough to get used to no markings at all (coming from fretted)

Yes.. there are side dots.
And fret lines also.
I've played this bass... not bad for the $$

Yep--side dots and fretlines. It's an easy-playing fretless and a good one to start on.

Well that about settles it then.

This bass gets rave reviews, I like jazz basses, and it is silly cheap - enough that if I don't have fretless in me I won't be all up in arms.
