Let me see...I have bass: it's completely unremarkable, has wear and tear, was made in Mexico, needs a set up to be playable, sold for $450 when it was new, and the same model lists for $300 on eBay and includes shipping. Must we worth $800 at least!

Yes, I am aware of how much they cost new, seeing as I paid for the bass when I bought it 8 years ago and I know that it is MIM. *The reason I listed it for that much, as I stated in the ad, is that I haven't seen the particular color I have anywhere else. *For example, the link you sent me doesn't have my color. *If you can find me some place else that has this color that would be great.

I understand you want to recoup you losses, and it's too bad you got a bad deal on the bass. The flat color doesn't add to the value, and no one else will think so either. Also notice there is no difference in cost for any other colors either.

Discontinued Fender colors usually only go up in value once they are vintage(Think Shell Pink)

Market value is market value. Anyone who is aware of what it is won't pay that much...period.


You are free to charge whatever you want, but the only way you can get 800.00 is by taking advantage of someone.

I sold one of those for 400$ , and only got that because it was 2006 (better economy) and had a badass II, i doubt I could even get 400$ for the same bass today.

Thank you sir. As far as I'm concerned its Karma plain and simple.

If he had stated it was priced above value and a fender nut into the color might...might buy it it would be different, but he had it labeled as a"unique color" indicating it was something extra special, not a discontinued color.

even if he does manage to sell it he still a loses in my book
