A silly trade?

Hey dudes, i'm fairly new around here.. been talking about my elbow bothering me and such ( which weirdly doesn't hurt my elbow like at all anymore, just my hand sorta feels a little weird SOMETIMES, which I think it means it's getting better..)

ANYWAYS, I saw FS: 1987 Fender Jazz, '75 RI and got excited, a jazz bass seems more along the lines of what I want... But Is this a terrible trade for my JUST purchased lined fretless stingray ($1000) ?

fretless just isn't my thing and jazz necks just feel more comfortable for my weak baby hands!

Personally, as a Jazz Bass fan, I'd be all over that!

You could always become a supporting member and post a FT thread in the classifieds. Never know what offers you might get...

The classifies section here really is great. There are always a ton of basses listed and at great prices. If you've decided you'd like to explore a trade I would definitely recommend you list it there.

Fretless basses are usually harder to get rid of - the market's not as big...

If it was a USA jazz - definitely yes (although MIJ fenders are usually as good as USA, they just don't fetch the same $$)...

I'd keep the Fless Ray & look for a deal on a J - but I have a hard time letting go of basses I like...

yeah my biggest worry is that i'll wanna trade that bass out eventually, but it won't be worth quite as much. I've heard really great things about MIJ basses so i'm pretty torn!
