The bridge makes me wonder if it's a real '66 Fender.

On that 'Brit Slab', I used Fender 62 RI's with 1960's NOS ceramic disc cap with Roto 66 45's. I use a variety of pups. Getting some wound by Curtis Novak for the 'Woody' slab.

That's awesome!! My next build is gonna be slab body SCPB. Any pointers or suggestions that'll make the build go easier?

This was not an easy build. Lots to deal with. Finding an authentic neck to begin with (vintage tint) that was of good quality without skunk stripe. Then, getting to get it to fit!!!! I had to mod the neck pocket by hand to take the larger 21F neck. Sourcing original tone caps and not to mention playing with pickups!! Overwound or not to overwound, that was the question! Stuff like getting the guy who machines my bodies to CNC the neck pockets to order and finding they don't fit!!!This was a 'prototype' build as I'm now building 'Brit Slabs'. What bridges to use! The list goes on...

There are some mistakes in it, but those are yours to find

My '66 P is not a slab body. Fender made contoured bodies AND slab bodies in '66?

I never intended to build an 'exact' replica. If you want that, then I guess a Fender Custom Shop Master build. My slabs are very playible comprimises. I tried a vintage bridge as original, but I thought these were better. I was going to uses a babicz Full Contact which I love. I believe FCS where doing these for about $5000! Mine cost a fraction of that, so go figure.

The sorey behind the slab or 'Brit Slab' is quite funny. 25 made for UK market back in Oct 66 and then I believe another 25 for the US market. The American slabs were slightly different I believe.
